Description | Checker weave. Border of broad black strip and narrow black strip woven next to edge. Close to edge 3 strips of stiff cloth woven in-green in center, red to either side and narrow black cedar strips on either side of each cloth strip. Borders cross at corners. SPace be-tween outer and inner border checker weave occasionally smaller. (Warp strands split in half) Twined line of weav-ing in center where warp hung over batten in manufacture |
