3D Petrie Museum

We love this  site from The Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology at UCL. With a 3D viewer, you can virtually handle some of their highlight objects.

Mystery of the Manchester Museum spinning statuette

This is too good – we had to share it. A Middle Kingdom statuette on display at the Manchester Museum has been inexplicably spinning in it’s exhibit case. To get to the bottom of this, museum staff set up a time lapse camera, which captured the movement over the course of a week. Check it out by clicking on this link.
