Know Before You Go
|Booking timed tickets in advance helps keep transactions contact-free.
Reserve your tickets online (members must log in to verify their status and receive free admission) or call 215.898.4001 during museum open hours.
|Due to construction, the sidewalk in front of the Penn Museum on South Street (between 33rd Street and Convention Avenue) is closed. For visitors arriving from the SEPTA regional rail train station: please cross South Street to the Franklin Field side in order to safely use the sidewalk. Then, cross at the intersection (33rd Street) to access the Museum's Main Entrance. For visitors parking in the garage/Lot 7: please use the East Entrance.|
|Face coverings and symptom checking are required for all staff and visitors ages 2+.
Face masks must be properly worn at all times while you are in the Museum.
|Please stay 6-feet apart from anyone not in your household group.|
|Please follow a one-way route through the galleries, to maximize social distancing—just follow the arrows on the floor.|
|Hand sanitizer and wipe dispenser stations are available throughout the Museum.
We have also installed plexiglass barriers in areas where transactions occur.
|We are limiting the number of visitors in the building to facilitate social distancing, in accordance with city and state protocols. Capacity limits for each gallery and public space, based on square footage, are posted throughout the Museum.|
|The Museum Café is temporarily closed. Because water fountains are unavailable for hygiene reasons, visitors are welcome to bring their own bottled water, but no other outside food or drink is permitted inside the Museum. Weather permitting, picnics are welcome in the Warden Garden, Stoner Courtyard, and Mosaic Courtyard. Coat room and lockers are not available.|
|The Museum Shop is open and located on the Main Level. Also open online.|
Planning Your Visit
A two-hour admission window is allotted per timed ticket.
Guests may enter the Museum at any time during that window and explore the galleries at their own pace.
Please limit groups to 6 people.
We ask that if you are feeling unwell that you postpone your visit.
