Description | Three pieces no randas, sides not sewn, neck not cut, center piece very dark blue embroidered in red, orange,green and white cotton in zigzags and conventional figures, sides white embroidered in red, orange and green in plant and flower design. As per Sigrid Meier, "Side panels: Warp - 28 epi, 2 singles, S twist, white cotton. Weft - 28 ppi, 2 singles, S twist, white cotton. Center panel: Warp - 22 epi, 2 singles, Z twist, indigo cotton. Weft: 30 ppi, 2 singles, Z twist, indigo cotton. Balanced plain weave. Supplemental weft - two faced. 3 panels - 4 selvedges each. Made on backstack loom." |
