Description | Not traditional, may have been commissioned. Chain-stitch embroidery in silk thread on undyed cotton quilted with running stitch. Bound with red silk and backed with block-printed and resist-dyed cotton.Natural color with embroidered floral designs in pink, blue, green, white and yellow. Bands of flowers border the collar, cuffs and hems. Frontal opening lined with black and both cuffs are lined with red. Two patches on proper left elbow and forearm that have been embroidered over. Red borders along seams on the interior. Five metal buttons- two are undecorated and three have an animal and crown motif. Pocket on interior is striped on one side and has a floral pattern on the other. |
