Description | In form a very large skyphos, Attic type. 5 zones or bands of decoration. Top of bottom. Top zone, A: 5 panels with decoration once in added color, left to right rosette; palmette-rosette; frontal mask, bird on each side; palmette-rosette; rosette. B: No panels. Continuous horizontal garland. 2nd zone. Continuous vertical, closely spaced reeding A&B except that in center of A is a panel with a bird. 3rd zone. Narrow band all around with bead-and-reel. 4th zone. Continuous vertical, closely spaced reeding. 5th zone. Lower wall, reserved except for two wheel-glazed bands, broad at top, narrow one below it. |
