Description | Two pieces sewn no randa, neck and armholes bound with blue silk ribbon, dark blue cotton heavily embroidered in geometric design in red, green, lavender, yellow, white and blue cotton and green deep rose and gold silk. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 66 epi, 2 singles, Z twist, indigo, cotton (hand spun?) Weft: 20 ppi, 3 singles, Z twist, indigo cotton (hand spun?). Warp faced plain weave. Supplement weft: 1 faced. 2 panels - 4 selvedges each. Made on backstrap loom." |
