Description | Large painted buff ware vessel with everted rim. Vessel has a ridge carination forming shoulder. Sides bulge slightly and curve into slightly rounded base. Paint: Dark brown paint to below ridge type carination on shoulder. Simple horizontal band on rim with double horizontal bands flanking wavy line below followed by three bands with alternating groups of vertical hatched lines between them. Just above carination are two horizontal bands with groups of cross hatched triangles and lozenges to carination. Below carination are two bands flaking wavy line. |
