Description

Iridescent, black lacquer sheath with floral designs of mother of pearl and lacquer. Applied silver flower and silver tip. Loop for carrying cord and band around top and band at base of cutout section for side knife of silver with etched floral design.

C: Straight steel blade, single cutting edge for only 2/3 of length tapered to point. Blackened metal handle with ahpplied relief decoration on one face of a man in a boat, waves and birds. Signed: “Bishiu, Osafune Gorozayemon no Kami Kiyomitsu Sukesada tsukuru”.
