Description

Mask. Beshimi (癋見). Deep red lacquer, snub nose with ridge in base, inquiring expression, prominent upper lip. Used in bugaku dance. There is a kakihan/kao (書き判/花押) signature on the back of the mask. Originally cataloged as Beyshime.
