Hand drum case for drum (Damaru). Polished wood with skin drumheads painted green. Short, circular, with short waist around which is a loop of the cloth and leather carrying band ornamented with 5 groups each of 4 cowries; long pendant of cloth with silk tassels, ornamented with silver disc, carnelian, silver (?) and glass beads. Such drums were originally made of human skull and human skin. The cowries indicate it is an old type.
