Description | Plain. Cooking pot (olla) with a globular body, tapered collar, rounded rim, 2 strap handles on the collar to body, and a rounded base. There are no molded/modeled additions and no decoration. There appears to be a smoothed finish on the exterior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. Evidence of usewear includes soot on the exterior and black staining on the interior.
