Description | Wood stem and wood and horn rattle. Stem is carved to an 8 sided figure, which tapers near the top of the rattle and expands again as it approaches the rattle. The horn of the rattle had wooden plugs in each end. The horn around the topmost part of the rattle had been eaten or dissolved away. There are several splotches of red paint chipped away. The rattle head is curved (the same way a horn would curve). |
