Description | Ashes of tshala mixed with red palm oil are smeared on a piece of cassava stem (yeke, cassava, ayema, true) which is broken in three pieces and these tied together. If the patient has really been "affected" by Pawk, these pieces will stick together. The tshala grease (dim) is then rubbed on the affected part or parts. During treatment the Pawk is laid beside the patient. |
