Description | Oval reddish-brown face with white eyes (painted concentric circles worn off), broad nose, pursed lips. Outlines of eyes, nostrils, and lips are red. Slits under eyes, holes for nostrils, round hole for mouth. Arched eyebrows finely drawn in black, with wrinkles between them. A comic mask for the Balinese Topeng dance drama: Topeng Bujuh? Hole at top with fiber loop for hanging: probably made for sale. |
