Description | Plain weave with along one end embroidered human figures with effect of tapestry. B: two pieces roughly sewed together lengthwise. See 27736. Next period after that of the works of Tiahuanaco. Connection of the styles. Fragment of cotton plain weave with embroidered human figures. Two selvages present (weft selvages). Warp ends are torn. Color(s): Ground fabric is off-white, embroidered human figures are in green, yellow, brown and red. |
