Description | "Lavender and pink decoratiom [old]" on white cotton. Blue and green additional colors. Length wise, 5 bands of narrow woven in stripes. Width wise, 7 rows of small brocaded figures. Rows 11-13 cm apart. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 84 epi, 2 ply, multicolored cotton. Weft: 34 ppi, 2 ply, white cotton. Warp faced plain weave. Supplemental weft: double and two faced. 2 panels - 4 selvedges each. Made on a backstrap loom." |
