Description | Two pieces, brown handspun cotton, neck uncut, sewn together, red cotton ground with brown, blue and yellow stripes, brocaded at shoulder in silk band. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 52 epi, 3 singles, Z twist red cotton. Nautral brown cotton, single ply, hand spun. Yellow - 2 ply, blue - 2 ply. Weft: 12 ppi, 5 singles, Z twist, natural brown cotton warp faced plain weave. Supplemental weft - 2 faced. 2 panels - 4 selvedges. Made on a backstrap loom." |
