Description | Iron blade: sides nearly parallel for 2/3 length, then widening to convex end; all edges dull. Medial ridge putting the two halves of the blade on slightly different planes. Impressed and incised decoration on both faces in chevrons, straight lines, partly hatched rectangles, etc. Tang inserted in wooden grip, oval at junction with blade, then cylindrical, with small knob through large disc end. Star and circle decoration on under side of disc; brass band around blade end of grip. |
