Description
Cotton huipil in two panels. White ground with red stripes. Heavily brocaded in geometric designs. Unfinished.
As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 55 epi, three singles, Z twist, white and red cotton. Weft: 14 ppi, five singles, Z twist, white cotton. Warp faced plain weave. Supplementary weft is single faced. Two panels, four selvedges each. Woven on a backstrap loom."
