Description

Shape: Jug with high spout and one (coil?) handle. Strip of clay along rim, on exterior of vessel. Fabric: Fine, red (10R 5/6) clay with a darker core with pink (7.5YR 7/4) slip and decoration in light red (2.5YR 6/6) to reddish black (10R 2.5/1) paint. Decoration: Slip only on exterior. Inside of mouth painted. Spout and neck painted; bands on body. Bands on neck and body; frieze of triple crescents on shoulder frieze of ripple pattern on body. Resting surface unpainted. Condition: Restored from fragments. Some sherds missing. Handle missing.
