Description
Huipil of one panel. Cotton with brocaded bands. Brown and red ground, single armhole bound with buttonhole stitch. Similar to 85-2-143, old style.
As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 50 epi, one single, Z twist, natural brown hand spun cotton. Weft: 22 ppi, one single ply, Z twist, natural brown hand spun cotton. Warp predominantly plain weave. Supplementary weft is two faced. One panel, four selvedges. Woven on a backstrap loom."
