Description | Chinese painting titled: "Searching for Truth or Landscape with Philosophers" attributed to Zhou Chen 周臣 (1460–1535 CE) . Two scholars play weiqi under trees while a third approaches with a servant boy carrying a qin on his back. The open setting is framed here in both lower corners by rocks. Thus the viewers are unconsciously led to concentrate on the figures and their engagements. Rocks stylized but the trees are interestingly arranged and depicted.
