Description | Modern huipil of three panels sewn together. Brocaded white gauze, sloppy technique. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 28 epi, single, Z twist, white cotton. Weft: 38 ppi, single, Z twist, white cotton. Balanced plain weave. Supplementary weft is two faced. Three panels, four selvedges each. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
