Description | Brocade on balanced ground weave, floats visible on reverse. All cotton. Birds, dogs[?], horned animals, flowers, zigzags, hooked shapes, diamonds. White ground, yellow, blue, black, green, red and orange. Selvedges and ends finished. Good condition, some repair, slight stains. As per Sigrid Meier, "Wrp: 28 epi, 2 singles, Z twist, white cotton. Weft: 30 ppi, 2 singles, Z twist, white cotton. Balanced plain weave. Supplemental weft - two faced. 1 panel - 4 selvedges. Made on a backstrap loom." |
