Description | Cone-shaped. Wicker and twining. Yellow dye: see 37-22-62. The material used in basketwork is all provided by the raphia palm ["bamboo" palm]: strips from the leaflets, midribs of the leaflets, splints from the midribs of the whole leaf. In some cases these materials may be taken from the same parts of the oil palm. |
