Description
Woman's. Red plain weave cotton cloth forms background for yellow, blue and green pin stripe groupings that run parallel to selvedge edge. Geometric designs, similar to 66-34-45, appear in bands along entire length of shawl. Loose warp threads knotted and fringed at each end.
As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 60 epi, two singles, Z twist. Weft: 24 ppi, two singles, Z twist, red cotton. Warp faced plain weave. Supplementary weft is single faced. One panel. Woven on a backstrap loom."
