Description

Greyish buff ware. Crooked offset base, globular body, constricted neck, slightly inturned rim.

[KB: This museum number belongs to the ceramic vessel above, not the cylinder seal as published in UE X] UE X 314: two worshippers with hands raised before a seated goddess. Same strange style as No. 308. Their hair is doubled up and tied with a fillet. A figure in relief adorns the side of the goddess's throne. The inscription is a later addition cutting across one figure. Steatite cylinder.
