Description

Iron blade, the sides parallel for most of their length, then rounded to point; shallow longitudinal groove on opposite side of both faces of blade; barb from each corner of base; wide, flat "stem" with raised edges. Cylindrical wooden grip with short straight guard from which a very wide tongue, with band of brass binding at top and bottom, extends the length of the "stem" on each face. Band of punctate decoration and hatched triangles and arcs near the base on each face.
