Description

Shawl of red cotton with silk stripes in many colors and elaborate silk fringe. Ikat weft stripes.

As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 38 epi, one single, Z twist, red cotton. Weft: 52 ppi, single, Z twist, ikat cotton. Two singles, Z twist, red cotton. Single, multicolored silk twill weave. Balanced plain and twill weaves. One panel, two selvedges, elaborate fringe. Woven on a backstrap loom."
