Description | Three pieces whipped together, sides not sewn, neck not cut, white cotton in alternate bands of duck weave and gauze pattern, plain bands embroidered in dark green cotton in conventional birds vines and flowers. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 22 epi, 2 singles, Z twist, white cotton. Weft: 22 ppi, 2 singles, Z twist, white cotton. Balanced basket weave with band of elaborate gauze weave. Supplement weft - two faced. 3 panels - 4 selvedge each. Made on a backstrap loom." |
