Description

Wooden box for storing huia feathers and small ornaments. Waka Huia. Oval. Small head in the round at each end for handle. Entire outer surface covered with rauponga pattern (rows of dog-tooth notches surrounded by parallel grooves and ridges) in large spirals. Cracked.
