Description

White with green selvedges, two widths, no randa, neck not cut, heavily embroidered in red and purple cotton and deep rose silk, bands over shoulders, front and back in rows of birds and animals.

As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 45 epi, 3 singles, Z twist, white cotton. Weft: 23 ppi, 3 singles, Z twist, white cotton. Warp plain weave. Supplemental weft - 2 faced. 2 panels, 4 selvedges. Made on a backstrap loom. 2 identifying marks in yellow brocading in one corner, 1 mark in green brocading also."
