Description | Each edge of the blade straight for a short distance from the haft, then almost horizontal to a barb, concave to a second barb, then contracting to a sharp point. Medial ridge on both faces at point, with a wide ornamental strip, mostly of zigzags, from the ridge to the haft. A pierced hole, with frame of concentric grooves, behind each of the four barbs. Tang inserted through wooden grip and extended into a loop covered with copper ornamented with short dashes. Long spool-shaped grip widening to form a straight guard completely covered with punctated copper sheet and with copper wire. |
