Description

Bamboo; painted and incised decoration; bottom is a node of the bamboo. Dr. Johnson's original not reads: "Case for perfume made of the bark of certain trees. This was carried in the ear of the woman to the right in the picture we tood March 7. Duke de Graganga." Probably belongs with 29-59-156.
