Description

Woman's skirt in the Cahabon style. Colored cotton and natural brown cotton woven in two lengths joined with a yellow and red randa. Red, yellow, brown and blue in narrow vertical stripes. Vertical middle seam ornamented with a band of red and yellow stitching. Same width everywhere and either end can be top or bottom.

As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 40 epi, single, Z twist, natural brown, blue cotton. Two singles, Z twist, yellow, red cotton. Weft: 16 ppi, single, Z twist, brown cotton. Warp predominantly plain weave. Woven on a backstrap loom."
