Description | Purple cotton ground with three rows of deer and fruit basket motifs in red, white, yellow, green, blue cotton. Horizontal stripes in green and red cotton in block pattern. Weft brocading. Ends terminate in fancy knotted fringe with white and red cotton strands tied into purple tassels. Per Sigrid Meier 1997: Warp: 54 epi three strands of purple cotton. Weft: 28 ppi three strands of purple cotton. Plain weave, warp-faced. Supplementary weft: double and single faced. |
