Description | Cotton huipil in three panels. Center panel is green ground with brocaded design. Side panels are white. Unfinished, no neck opening. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp center panel: 28 epi, two singles, Z twist, green cotton. Weft center panel: 24 ppi, two singles, Z twist, green cotton. Warp side panels: 32 epi, two singles, Z twist, white cotton. Weft side panels: 30 ppi, two singles, Z twist, white cotton. Balanced plain weave. Supplementary weft is two faced. Three panels, four selvedges each. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
