Description

One wide panel of cotton, not made up. Blue with narrow yellow and red stripes all with red weft. Two thread yellow cross stripes. Embroidered with zigzags, dentate chevrons and geometric forms in green, yellow and red cotton and purple and white silk.

As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 30 epi, single ply, Z twist, blue two strands, yellow three strands, red three strands. Weft: 13 ppi, single ply, Z twist, five strands, red cotton. Balanced plain weave. One panel, four selvedges. Woven on a backstrap loom."
