Description | Two white cotton panels joined with silk randa. Supplementary weft brocading: magenta, pink, purple horses, ducks and geometric designs. Each panel has 3 selvedges. Silk tassels found at all corners. One end is hemmed with decorative zig-zag stitch in silk. As per Sigrid Meier (1997), "Warp: 56 epi single Z-twist tightly spun white cotton. Weft: 24 ppi two single Z-twist tightly spun white cotton. Plain weave, warp-predominant. Supplementary weft: two-faced in purple, magenta, and pink silk." |
