Description | Cotton. Narrow red, white and blue-white jaspe stripes. Cotton brocade in diagonal stripes of blocks of color forming diamond chains in more acute diagonal lines in the same direction. Red, blue and white. As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 48 epi, two singles, Z twist, white cotton. Two singles, Z twist, white and blue ikat cotton. Three singles, Z twist, red cotton. Weft: 14 ppi, three singles, Z twist, red cotton. Warp faced plain weave. Supplementary weft is single faced. One panel, three selvedges with fringe at one end. Woven on a backstrap loom." |
