Description | Ramos Polychrome ware. Squat globular, with extremely short neck and outturned rim. 4 lugs, evenly spaced, on upper body; 2 turtle heads, with slight bulge below, opposite each other; 2 tails opposite each other. Deep buff ware, slipped and polished; discoloured. Black and red painted decoration: lines around neck and base; heavy notched bands and lines enclosing large triangles with solid areas and squares with fret; panel with spotted area and disc below each turtle head. |
