Sommerville: Chalcedony-Onyx. Medusa. Set with diamond sparks (cinque-cento). Gold and Silver Rings - Cameos, Case JJJ.

Vermeule: Chalcedony-Onyx. Cameo. (Modern gilt ring setting) surrounded by paste brilliants. Head of Medusa facing slightly to right. Her features are in the dramatic style. 16th century.
