Description | Single-edged steel blade tapering to point, both faces sharply bevelled towards back and end of cutting edge. Wooden grip ornamented with shell-like concretion and with two gilded chrysanthemums; wrapped with black tape; silver cap etched in floral design. There is an inscription on the tang inside the handle: “Bishiu, Osafune Gorozayemon no Kami Kiyomitsu Sukesada tsukuru”. |
