Description

Woman's hood. Said to be for protection from rain. Probably a mourning-hood. -- Basketwork of coarse grass (?) with simple pattern of darker coloured rhombs woven in. The hood is formed of a strip of this matting folded in two, end to end and closed down one side with a loose stitching of cord.
