Description | Single coil of metal, the tail overlapping the head but separated from it. Triangular head, the mouth slightly open, the lips grooved vertically as for teeth. Pellet eyes. Raised ornament on top of head. Body tapers in thickness from head to tail. For a length of ca. .04 m. at each end the body is very finely engraved to resemble scales of snake. Body as a whole is in even line but engraved portion of tail is wavy in outline. Closely similar bracelet in Schimmel Collection in NY. |
