Description

Coconut shell water container (bobo') used to carry water & store it for cooking and drinking. One of a pair, to be carried at ends of bamboo pole across shoulders. In use when collected, but with plastic or nylon strings, which were changed for traditional rattan. They say to put small white stones (probably quartz) inside to keep water cold. Whole coconut shell with lid on rattan carrying loop.
