Description | Food dish. Rectangular. Sides made of one piece, kerfed and bent at three corners, sewn at fourth (sewing more obvious on outside than usual). Bottom fitted and originally sewn on, now nailed. Sides slightly convex on outside, slightly concave on inside. Short ends originally rose in a curve above sides. One curved part gone, other broken and held on with cord in three places. Very greasy. Decoration: Incised and shallow gouged animal faces on four sides. |
