Description | Pinkish buff clay. Bottom reserved. On wall, from bottom to top, are wheel-painted in red glaze on clay ground: broad band; 3 lines; broad band; 3 lines (dim); broad band; 3 lines; broad band; 3 lines (dim); broad band; 3 lines; broad band (at roots of handle); 2 rows of short strokes radiating from base of neck; broad band at base of neck. Top surface of handle and exterior of neck glazed. Surface rather friable and powdery. Complete but mended. |
