Description

Amphora, Type A. A. Birth of Athena L. to r., female figure, Apollo, Zeus with Athena on thigh, female figure, Ares with dog. Bird with female head above (Siren) Greeted by Eileithuia, goddess of child birth. B: "Zeus and Hera, both seated; with Poseidon, Amphitrite, Ares and others" L. to r., female figure (Amphitrite?), Poseidon, Zeus and Hera, Ares, a female figure; overlapping male and female figures. Nonsense inscriptions in field.
